HELLO.

Scarlett Baker is a London-based editor, specialised in watches and social commentary. Scarlett’s earliest memory of a watch was a sparkly FlikFlak with unicorns that she proudly wore on her wrist from a young age. But she happened to stumble into the world of horology by chance – fashion and all of its nuances was the universe she loved most.

Studying a Masters in Journalism, Scarlett’s career began at LOVE Magazine as Staff Writer. She then went on to become the Editor of Man About Town and Deputy Editor of Wonderland. During this tenure, she rediscovered the world of watches and set out to bring a fashion-focused lens to horology, through her words and creatively direction.

Scarlett currently sits as Managing Editor for heist-out, an independent offbeat watch magazine dedicated to diversifying the communication around the watch world. She recently launched their latest issue, Issue 2, a concept format, riffing on size and the intersection of digital culture with traditional craftsmanship, produced in the format of an iPhone.

Alongside this, Scarlett is a frequent contributor to GQ, Esquire and Highsnobiety, and acts as a Contributing Editor for Something About Rocks. She also provides copywriting services for leading luxury brands, and brand strategy.
